Jessica Falkenstein began her time at McLaughlin & Lauricella as a Co-Op student while in law school. Jessica earned her J.D. from the Thomas R. Kline School of Law at Drexel University, where she was a recipient of the Rising Advocate Scholarship.
Jessica has a passion for trial advocacy and during law school competed on the Kline School of Law’s Nationally-Ranked Trial Team at prestigious competitions across the country. As a member of the Trial Team, Jessica was a National Champion at the National Board of Trial Advocacy’s Tournament of Champions, a Regional Champion at the Texas Young Lawyers National Trial Competition and a Semi-Finalist at the American Association of Justice Trial Advocacy Competition. Currently, she is a coach for the Kline School of Law’s Trial Team and is a recipient of the Philadelphia Trial Lawyer’s James J. Manderino Award for Trial Advocacy.
Certified as a Mediator by the New Jersey Superior Court
Jessica joined the firm as an Associate in the summer of 2019 after completing a clerkship for the Honorable Nan S. Famular, P.J. Ch., in the New Jersey Superior Court, Camden Vicinage, Chancery and Equity Divisions. During her clerkship, Jessica’s work mainly involved matters concerning mortgage foreclosure litigation, contract litigation, probate litigation, and petitions for equitable relief. Jessica was also trained as a Family Law clerk and has experience in child custody matters. It was during this time as a law clerk that Jessica also became certified as a Mediator by the New Jersey Superior Court, and gained experience resolving matters involving small claims disputes and landlord/tenant disputes.
Jessica spent her summers during law school interning for Nationalities Services Center where she assisted clients who were facing removal in Immigration Court. While in law school, Jessica also served as a Teaching Assistant for Intro to Trial Advocacy, Advanced Trial Advocacy, and Legal Methods and participated in the Marshall-Brennan Constitutional Literacy Project, where she taught high school students about their constitutional rights.

Jessica is a graduate of St. Joseph’s University where she earned a B.S. in Criminal Justice and a B.A. in Spanish and was a member of the Phi Sigma Pi Honor Fraternity. Jessica is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese and is licensed to practice law in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
